Why does the film recorder have two SCSI connectors when most of my other devices have only one?
The film recorder has two SCSI connectors so that other devices may be connected before and after it. In instances where the film recorder is the last, or only device in the SCSI chain, the second connector should have a termination plug attached (preferably an active termination plug).
Why does the red indicator light on the film recorder front panel glow after powerup?
The film recorder has not been initialized or the warm up failed. Other special circumstance: PC-only configured film recorder using a Rascol II/IV board; warm up will start when an image is sent to the film recorder to expose.

Solution:
- WinRascol: Set canvas to 11x7.33 inches.
- MacRascol: Set canvas to 12x8 inches.
- Alternative: Add Photoshop files directly to film recorder queue rather then printing directly to film recorder.
- Match image size to Rascol printer page size.

I have a network with both Macs and PCs. How can I use my film recorder for both?
Use Lasergraphics' free BLL Generator software to create BLL files on each computer (PC or Mac) and place them in a folder on the network that is accessible by the computer that is attached to the film recorder. Please note: in order to create BLL files on a Macintosh and image them from a Windows-based PC, you must own a copy of both WinRascol AND MacRascol. Similarly, to create BLL files on a Windows-based PC and image them from a Macintosh, you must own a copy of both MacRascol AND WinRascol.
I have a 35mm Smartback camera with a Premium "oversize" lens. How can I properly size images for mounted slides?
Print Manager indicates "Printing" status, green LED on the film recorder front panel is blinking, yet the camera does not advance to the next frame.
