T.S. Notice 2022-08-23

Prevention and resolution of hardware initialization failure

Summary: A recent Windows 10 driver update causes a hardware initialization failure with the Lasergraphics scanning system software.

Details: Windows 10 automatically updates device drivers by default. Nvidia display device driver versions later than 472.84 contain code that is incompatible with versions of Lasergraphics scanning system software released prior to August 2022. If the Nvidia display driver is updated, Lasergraphics scanning system software will abort and produce a Fatal Error message indicating Hardware Initialization Failed
